Chain link fence can be configured with many different components and many different levels of security. Chain link fence is typically installed in heights of 4’ to 8’ tall, but it can be installed in much taller applications. When designing a chain link fence project you want to consider the type of posts, both line posts and terminal posts, that will be required to construct a lasting fence. The type and gauge of fabric you will need also needs to be considered, in most cases 11 ½” gauge fabric is used for residential fence and 9 gauge fabric is used for commercial applications.
